*Google Pay transactions via a non-Android device may not invoke the Payer Authentication journey for your customer. If you choose to proceed with an individual non-secure transaction, please be aware that you may lose any liability shift protection that would usually be provided by Payer Authentication.

 

Getting Started

BigCommerce Prerequisites

 
  • Your store must used the optimized one Page Checkout
     
  • Before enabling any configuration on the BigCommerce Settings page you will be required to have those services enabled on your gateway account
 
  • For 3D-Secure transactions you must ensure that Payer Authentication is fully configured within your gateway account

 

Smartpay Fuse has been created in partnership with VISA Cybersource. All features listed on this page are supported on the Smartpay Fuse platform. When you click through to download the plugin you may notice reference to the Cybersource brand and see some features that are not part of the Smartpay Fuse gateway. Prerequisites - Visa Acceptance

Before configurating this integration, you are required to have admin level user access to your Transacting-level MID for your (Live) and (Test) accounts in order to approve the OAuth application. Your Account-level MID will not be able to be used during the OAuth login process. 

You will be able to configure this integration to either Test or Production. If you do not yet have a live Visa Acceptance account, or you wish to first test the integration, then creating a sandbox account will not only allow you to start programmatic integration but also provides access to the Visa Acceptance Portal.

  1. Visit our sandbox creation page here.
  2. Complete the registration form.
  3. Click submit to create your sandbox account.

Note: on submitting your application, you will receive an automated email from our partner, Cybersource, with first time login and password reset instructions. Be sure to check your junk mailbox if this doesn’t arrive within 2 minutes of clicking Submit.
 

 

 

Enable the extension

To set up Visa Acceptance, go to Store Setup › Payments and select Cybersource from the list of Online Payment Methods.

You will be taken to the Cybersource Settings tab.

Connect to your Visa Acceptance

Once in the Cybersource Settings Page you are required to connect to your Visa Acceptance payment gateway.

a.        Choose which environment you want to connect your BigCommerce account and select 'Connect to...'

b.        You will be redirected to the Visa Acceptance Portal where you will be required to log in and approve BigCommerce to connect to your account

c.        After approving the scopes you will be redirected back to the Configuration Page within BigCommerce.

Configure the Extension

After being returned to the Cybersource Settings page, configure your preferences based on the services you wish to utilise. 

Display Name — Control how the payment gateway is named at checkout.

Transaction Type — Select Authorize & Capture or Authorize Only. Authorize Only allows you to capture the funds manually. See Manually Capturing Transactions (Authorize Only) to learn more.

Test Mode — Determines whether your store is in Test Mode. Set to No (Recommended) when you are ready to take payments.

Require CVV (credit card security codes) — This option will require users to enter the CVV/CVV2/CVN code for their credit card during checkout. Enabling this option adds extra security on credit card transactions.

Enable 3D Secure — This option enables an additional security layer which helps to prevent unauthorized transactions. See 3D Secure for more information on this feature.

Show the Card Element — This option allows you to display or hide the credit card field on the checkout. See Show Card Element for more information on this feature.


Click Save when complete.

Enable and Configure Apple Pay

To enable Apple Pay, first return to the Settings > Payments page.

This time, scroll down and select Digital Wallets.

Select Set Up on the Apple Pay row.

Selecting this will run you through the enablement steps, and will automatically utilise your enabled Visa Acceptance account as it's mechanism for processing. Save when complete.
